Pirate Pumpkins sing Randy Dandy-O
Randy Dandy-O is a traditional captstan shanty from the late 1700's. The original lyrics are suggested to have been an unsubtle mockery of ships officers, as naval officers were often required to maintain uniform dress at sea. Every verse and the chorus ends in a (sometimes not so) subtle mockery of the authority of the ship's officers.
This version of the song is performed by The Dreadnoughts, a Vancouver BC folk-punk band.
There are files available for both Jack'O'Lantern Jamboree pumpkin layout, or a Singing Pumpkins layout, depending on how you have your pumpkins positioned.
